Please join us for a massive Emergency Action to Defend Woodfin Suites Workers Thursday, May 3rd 5 PM at the Woodfin Suites Hotel 5800 Shellmound, Emeryville From EBASE: Last week, twelve Woodfin workers were fired in retaliation for blowing the whistle on living wage violations at the Woodfin Suites in Emeryville. These workers have spent nearly a year in a courageous fight to win decent working conditions and defend their jobs from the Woodfin's anti-worker, anti-immigrant attacks. We went trick or treating this Halloween, and handed out treats for the people at home: EBYD slate cards! We had some awesome costumes, and people were glad to see us getting the word out about the election. We all ended up at Luka's for drinks, fries, and macaroni and cheese.

Speed Candidating 2006
Candidates in six local races on the June 2006 Primary ballot addressed our issues and answered our questions. We found out where they stand on universal health care, clean and fair elections, affordable housing, and long walks on the beach.
